You should remember that you can only activate one Beast at a time, and it depends on the level of the Pasture.

It can be found in the top left corner of the screen. You can then assign a beast to this specific General.
The same principle applies when you want to unassign a beast. Please note that once a beast is unassigned, it cannot be assigned to another General for an hour, as this is the cooldown period.
Are Spiritual Beasts better than Dragons?
It is believed that you can activate a dragon by paying 300 000 gems when your Pasture has reached level 26. Moreover, dragons are very weak if you do not train and raise them. This means that you need a large amount of level 6 materials, stones, and gems to raise them.
