Skins refer to an alternate appearance and colour scheme for any hero or character, and there are currently 478 skins available in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang.
Mobile Legends: Bang Bang is a mobile multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) video game. Players are able to choose their hero in order to participate in a battle. After choosing a hero, players are split into two teams. The two opposing teams fight to reach and destroy the enemy’s base, however, they need to also defend their own base.
Players use three ‘lanes’ known as top, middle and bottom to reach the opposing team’s base. Weaker computer-controlled characters, known as minions, spawn at team bases. The minions follow the three lanes to the opposite team’s base while fighting enemies and turrets.
In Mobile Legends, players are able to equip their characters with various skins. Skins refer to an alternate appearance and colour scheme for any hero or character. Every skin comes with its unique model and wallpaper. Some skins are able to provide the hero with different effects, voice lines, quotes and rotatable, or non-rotatable entrance backgrounds.
Most skins can be purchased using the in-game currency; diamonds. However, some skins can only be obtained from limited-time events. Mobile Legends features four categories of skins: Hero skins, Painted Hero skins, Commander skins and Sacred Statues, also known as Turret skins.
The Hero skins consist of 10 types. Each skin type ranges in quality of skill effect changes and design changes. Painted skins can be purchased in the existing skins, but in different colour palettes or skill effects. It is important to note that players can only purchase the painted skin if the base skin and the hero are purchased.
Commander skins are skins from Commander in Magic Chess, while Sacred Statues modify the model and look of Turrets according to the hero. These can be bought in limited-time bundles, or are included in Starlite bundles. The Sacred Statues can be activated in-game when a player stands near a Turret.
There are currently 478 skins available in the original server of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang.
