What gamers can expect in the new season of Apex Legends

Now that Apex Legends’ Seer been revealed, and as the game plans to explore his origin and abilities, gamers can also expect a ranked arena mode.

Apex Legends season nine is coming to an end, which means that it is time to meet the next season’s new Legend. A new “Stories from the Outlands” trailer was released on Monday, 19 July 2021, and it introduced gamers to Seer, a cursed gunslinger with killer looks and an army of tiny drones.

The game has been teasing Seer’s arrival over the last few days in the game, as they plastered Olympus in tiny moth stickers and dropped odd drones across the city. When a player interacts with the drone, it displays holographic moths before dropping unique gun charms.

Although the new story trailer did not reveal much about the new season, it delivered what little it had with smooth animation. It showed that Seer was born just as a massive asteroid wreaked havoc on the moon, which cursed the newborn with deadly glowing eyes. A narrator warned, “Refuse the child’s gaze, or be undone,” adding, “One glance will bring a mountain to dust, a king to a beggar, and an ocean to a desert.” Seer will be able to spot opportunities that other Legends might have missed, and he will seize them in the most beautiful way he can.

The official Apex Legends site describes Seer as “wielding microdrones and he has an artist’s eye”, with brief clips revealing that fans are looking at a real fashion icon with sleeveless jackets and wide-brimmed caps. Seer will be arriving in Apex Legends season 10, which is officially titled “Emergence.” The new season will also see the new rampage light machine gun, a ranked Arena mode, major changes to World’s Edge, as well as a new battle pass with exclusive skins.

Emergence will be available from 3 August 2021 for personal computers (PC), Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and the Xbox Series X.
