STFC: War Room

The War Room in STFC requires that Alliances work together and vanquish other players to earn War Keys, which can be used to open Warchests.

To progress in Star Trek Fleet Command (STFC), you have to build a variety of buildings in your base, collect officers, construct vessels and complete missions. A recent update introduced a new building called the War Room.

Unfortunately, this building can only be built by players level 20 and higher. If you meet the level requirement, you have to complete the “Show Us Your Mettle” mission to unlock the War Room.

Once it is constructed, it will provide players with fleet-wide bonuses of increased shield Health Points, increased officer statistics and increased isolytic damage.

Players will also gain access to a new and recurring War Room event which requires that you complete a  task to earn points to unlock the reward.

To earn the Warchest reward, you will have to collaborate with your Alliance and engage in player-versus-player activities.

By participating the PvP mode, Alliances will accumulate the points needed to receive Warchest Keys. Once you have enough keys, you can open the Warchest to get your reward.

It is worth noting that the rewards from the Warchest depend on your Operations level as well as the level of your War Room.

To increase the value of your rewards, you should upgrade your War Room regularly.

Rewards

Upgrading your War Room will increase the value of the rewards that the Warchest contains.

Once you have enough War Keys, you will be able to open a Warchest to earn Resources, Materials, Components for vessels, construction materials and particles for a unique research node.

The more your entire Alliance engages in PvP, the faster you will be able to earn the War Keys. You will therefore be able to open more Warchests, and, in turn, you can earn rewards more frequently.

Do you have to be part of an Alliance?

Allegedly, you do not have to be part of an Alliance to accumulate War Points, however, the process of collecting points will be much slower.

It is therefore more beneficial to be part of an Alliance as you will earn points at a much faster rate if you are.

If you are not part of an Alliance, you can open the “Alliance” tab in the game’s main screen to discover a list of Alliances on your server.

You have to apply to be part of an STFC Alliance, meaning that the Alliance leader may reject your application.

Upgrading the War Room

Once you have constructed the War Room, you will be able to upgrade it to increase the value of the rewards in the Warchest.

It is vital to note that you need Parsteel and Emblems of Honor to upgrade this building. Keep in mind that the resource cost increases with every upgrade.

For example, to upgrade the building to level 2, you only need 1000 Parsteel and 73 Emblems of Honor.  But to upgrade it to level 10, you need 7000 Parsteel and 1239 Emblems of Honor.
