Fire Emblem Heroes (FEH) allows players to collect various Heroes, one of which is Julius, however, it is recommended that they use him as a tank in battles.
Fire Emblem Heroes (FEH) is a popular free-to-play mobile game, published by Nintendo. As the name suggests, it is a spin-off of the Fire Emblem series. The game invites players to control a team of up to four characters, which are also called Heroes.
The Heroes are used to defeat various enemy teams of different sizes on an eight-by-six gridded map. It is important to note that the characters have different movement restrictions. The following table indicates the movement restrictions for some of the characters:
|Infantry units||Infantry units only move two tiles at a time. However, they take two units of movement to move through forests.|
|Flying units||Flying units are able to enter most tiles, even ones impassable to all other units.|
|Armoured units||It is believed that the armoured units have a very short moving range.|
|Cavalry units||Cavalry units cannot enter the forest tiles.|
In battle, the game alternates between a player phase and an enemy phase every turn. During the player’s phase, the Heroes can attack enemies when they are in range. However, if both the defender and the attacker have the same range, the defender will counterattack.
Players should note that their Heroes either deal physical or magical damage attacks. Additionally, they have a colour that informs a rock-paper-scissors-esque system. This allows some units to have advantageous matchups over other units.
When the enemy phase occurs, the game’s artificial intelligence will perform the same for the opposing team of characters. It is advised that players lure enemy units into disadvantageous matchups. This can happen if players position their Heroes carefully on the map.
When it was initially released, players could potentially access up to 100 different units in the game. However, new players only have access to Sharena, Anna and Alfonse. These units of the Order of Heroes were created for the game.
The remainder of the characters are crossovers from the rest of the franchise. Since the game’s release, additional characters have been added to the list. This includes characters from games that were previously not featured.
One of the units that players can collect in the game is Julius. He is the Prince of the Grannvale Empire. Even though he was once a very kind boy, he came to have a cruel nature. It is important to note that Julius is not new to the franchise, as he also features in Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War.
Even though players can use whichever skills and weapons they want for Julius, it is advised that they use a build as a guide. The following build is recommended for players who want to use him as a tank in battles.
It is recommended that they use Loptous as his weapon with a drawback assist. With regard to the special, players can slot the iceberg. It is important to note that players can select three passives and one Sacred Seal.
For the first passive, players can select Fury 4 while Quick Riposte 3 is recommended for the second passive. However, the third passive should be Attack Ploy 3, as Resurrection Ploy 3 is advised for Sacred Seal.
It is important to note that Julius’ nice is tanking magic attacks from enemies that do not possess dragon-effectiveness. This is due to Loptous, as it applies an attack penalty on the enemies, while Fury 4 allows the Hero to improve his skillset. However, players should pay attention to the self-damage.
Quick Riposte 3 is a common pick in the second slot, as it allows him to return damage after tanking. For the last and Sacred Seal slots, a double Ploy would make him even more “tankier”. If players follow this build, and have sufficient merges, flowers and support, Julius is able to tank physical foes to an extent.
How to obtain Julius
It is important to note that FEH is based on a gacha system. This means that they can obtain new Heroes by using the in-game summoning tab. However, they first need to collect the in-game currency Orbs, as it is used to summon random heroes.
Players can also gain Heroes by completing the in-game missions of assorted difficulty and effort. If they manage to obtain duplicates of the same Hero, the duplicates can be combined to create a single, more powerful unit.
This means that players can either obtain Julius by using the in-game summoning tab, or by progressing in the game.
