During the Hysperian Trivia event, players can procure Dragonsblood Vials, which is a unique currency.
Hysperian Trivia event
The Hysperian Trivia event commenced on Monday, 18 September 2023 and will conclude on Wednesday, 20 September 2023. In this time, you have to answer questions about Hysperian Lore.
To score points in this event, players must answer the following questions:
- Does thou knoweth the given name of the most valiant Chief Engineer Billups?
- What duty did Billups renounce upon his enlistment at Starfleet?
- The regal Monaveen is powered by the dragonsblood flame. Pray tell, how is this known beyond the borders of Hysperia?
- Who colonized the great realm of Hysperia?
- Before he may ascend the Hysperian Throne, what task must Billups first undertake?
STFC: Dragonsblood
If you answer these questions correctly, you will receive several rewards, including Dragonsblood Vials. Since the event commenced, several players have been wondering what the item is used for.
The Dragonsblood Vials is not a resource or material, instead, it is a unique currency which can be exchanged in the Event Store for numerous items. Commanders can use their Dragonsblood Vials to procure new character avatars and frames.
According to YouTuber, Rev Deuce, Scopely released the specific avatars and frames, as not many STFC players have procured or unlocked them.
Scopely therefore used the Hysperian Trivia event to give players the opportunity to unlock a variety of avatars and frames.
Keep in mind that avatars and frames are purely cosmetic, which means that you will not get any bonuses or benefits if you obtain and equip them.
Deuce mentioned that Scopely does not plan to add additional items, such as materials or resources, to the event store.
We therefore recommend that you do not save up your Dragonsblood Vials, as there is no possibility that additional items will be released.
Commanders should instead use their Dragonsblood to procure an avatar or a frame they are yet to procure.
Gamers should note that the avatars and frames are only available for a limited time. We advise players to use their Dragonsblood to unlock a new avatar or frame before the items are removed from the event store.
However, if you missed the opportunity to get a specific frame or avatar, you can still unlock it by completing objectives in STFC.
However, you should bear in mind that the objectives that you may have to complete can take longer to complete than obtaining Dragonsblood Vials through the Hysperian Trivia event.

Do you have to use your Dragonsblood Vials?
If you are not one for collecting avatars and frames, you can completely ignore the Dragonsblood Vials.
Players do not have to use their Dragonsblood Vials at all. However, it is a great opportunity to procure a new avatar or frame, even if you are not interested in cosmetics.
You should also keep in mind that you will not receive any bonuses or buffs when you acquire a new avatar or frame.
How to equip your new avatar or frame
STFC players can use their Dragonsblood Vials to unlock a new avatar or frame of their choice. Once you have the new cosmetic item, you have to equip it.
Avatars are visible in different areas of the game, including Global, Alliance and Private Chats.
However, other players will also see your avatar and frame on Leaderboards, Alliance Member lists, Alliance Contribution Screen and more.
To access the Avatar menu, tap on your profile picture in the upper left corner and then click the “Edit” button.
This will open the “Avatars and Frames” tab, which will expand the current avatars and frames that you can equip. You can then select your new avatar or frame to equip it.
