Overview
Raid: Shadow Legends is a popular fantasy-themed video game. It takes place in the fantasy world of Teleria. However, the world has recently been taken over by the Dark Lord, Siroth. It is now up to the players to retake the planet.
The game features various activities for players to do. Additionally, they can explore multiple in-game areas. However, it is advised that they familiarise themselves with the Affinity system before they participate in an activity or go exploring.
There are four types of Affinities in the game, and players need to have knowledge of them all to be successful in battle. They should remember that three of the Affinities exist in balance with one another, while the other one offers no particular advantages or disadvantages over the others.
The following table indicates the name of the Affinity and its properties:

These areas are usually defended by various enemies. Players should ensure that their Champions are strong enough to win the battles.
It is important to note that there are four types of Champions: Support, Health Points, Defence and Attack. Each type of Champion features distinct skills and abilities. Players should thus choose their Champion wisely.
Players are able to collect more Champions by using Shards, which contain the souls of ancient warriors. Once the players have collected the required Shards, they can summon a warrior at the in-game Summoning Portal.
It is important to remember that there are four different Shards, and each summons a different type of Champion. The following table indicates the different Shards and the rarity of warriors each Shard can summon:

Raid: Shadow Legends: Kalvalax
One of the Champions that players can obtain in the game is Kalvalax. He is a Legendary Spirit Champion, that was designed by the winner of the 2021 Community Champion Concept Contest.
Kalvalax’s skills and abilities
It is important to note that Kalvalax’s kit is heavily focussed on laying out poison. The poisons also have the ability to increase the Champion’s damage. The following table indicates the name and a description of Kalvalax’s skills:

This skill attacks all enemies. However, the damage increases according to the number of poisons debuffs on each target. It is important to note that this skill has a four-turn cooldown. |
Corruption Locus |
Kalvalax only attacks one enemy. But it applies an extra hit for each poison debuff on the target. It has a three-turn cooldown. |
Oozing Great sword |
This skill only attacks one enemy; however, it has a 40 percent chance of increasing the duration of all poison debuffs on the target. Additionally, it heals the Champion by 2.5 percent of their maximum health for each debuff on the target. |
