There are numerous regions to explore in the game, one of which is Stia. This region was recently added to PSO2: NGS, which means that there is a new map that you can explore.

Regions in PSO2: NGS

There are several regions in PSO2: NGS, namely Kvaris, Aelio, Stia, and Retem. Each region has an exploration sector, which contains different resource nodes that you can farm as well as numerous features that you can discover.

Every region also has a combat sector in which you can find and defeat enemies. Bear in mind that each enemy type has different drops, so if you are looking for something in particular,  you should make sure that you are killing the correct enemy type.

PSO2 NGS: Stia map

On Wednesday 7 December 2022, Sega introduced a new region called Stia to PSO2:NGS. Similarly to other regions in the game, Stia has numerous locations. In the South of Stia, players can find Bourganiss Island and the Grainne Coast.

When you move North, you will find Stia Camp where you can find your usual vendors. West of Stia Camp, you can discover Gable Mountain Road, Stia Outskirts, and Strobol Isle.

However, North of Stia Camp is the Dreisen Plant, Mediola Outer Area, Dext Base, and Mediola Outer Area 2.

It is vital to note that these areas feature Cocoons, Towers, and Region Mag. Players can find the only Tower in Stia in the south of Bourganiss Island. The Tower is not difficult to find, as it is quite a large building.

One of the Cocoons is just East of the Dreisen Plant. Keep in mind that the Cocoon is situated in a building, and therefore, it can be difficult to find. You can also find a Cocoon to the South of Mediola Outer Area 2.

To be more specific, you can find it at Alterra Base on top of a mountain. The third Cocoon is next to a building just North of Mediola Outer Area 1. When you get to the building, it is recommended that you travel to the left, as the Cocoon is next to the flowing lava.

Gamers should keep in mind that you have to travel to all of these areas on foot in order to discover them. Once you have found them, you will unlock the ability to fast travel to a specific location.

What is a Cocoon?

Cocoons are unique hexagonal structures that you can clear to gain skill points. Before you clear a Cocoon, you first have to find it. As mentioned previously, there are 3 Cocoons that you can find in Stia, so you have to find all 3 before you can clear them.

Once you have located all the Cocoons in Stia, you can clear the challenges. Bear in mind that the challenges inside Cocoons focus on a range of aspects, such as combat, movement, and skills, among others.

Although a majority of the challenges are easy to complete, you may need to make several attempts on some of them.

Towers

A Tower is a mysterious structure that is in the fields of Planet Halpha. Although there is only 1 Tower in Stia, it is recommended that you complete its quests to earn rewards. Tower Quests are generally larger and more complex than Cocoon Quests.

When you interact with the door of a Tower, you are shown various details about the Tower quest. You can then decide if you want to complete the quest or if you rather want return to it when your character is stronger.

After completing the Tower in Stia, you will get numerous rewards.

Is Stia accessible to everyone?

The Stia region is the fourth region expansion of PSO2: NGS and you can find it south east of Kvaris and north of Retem.

It is available to all players, however, if your character is low level, you may struggle to defeat some of the enemies in Stia’s combat sector known as Dext Base.

If you are a low level character, it is advisable that you defeat enemies in the Dext Base with other players, as this will increase your chance at success.

In this sector, you will find numerous many that fit the volcanic theme. You can defeat them and also throw them with volcanic rocks to deal additional damage.
