Players can earn 3 floating figures by entering a specific Sonic keyword in PSO2: NGS, however, the keyword has an expiration date.
Gamers can join the Artificial Relict to Keep Species (ARKS) organisation in this adventurous video game, Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis (PSO2: NGS). The game is set on a planet called Halpha, approximately 1000 years after the Oracle events.
As the player, you have to collaborate with a mysterious ally to vanquish a powerful enemy known as the DOLLS.
NGS’ developer, Sega, occasionally hosts in-game events for players. In June 2022, they celebrated Sonic’s Birthday, and now they are celebrating the release of a new game, Sonic Frontiers.
During the celebration, players can enter a Sonic keyword to get rewards.
Sonic Frontiers
Sonic Frontiers is a newly-released platform game in which you can assume the role of the classic character, Sonic. Players must explore the mysterious Starfall Islands to collect the Chaos Emeralds, after Sonic and his friends are separated when they fall through a wormhole.
The game features platforming and traditional Sonic elements, including rings and grind rails. Sonic Frontiers is the series’ first open world game, whereby gamers have to solve puzzles and complete challenges to collect certain items.
In addition to these activities, players have to fight robotic enemies and colossal Titans to advance in the game. Fortunately, Sonic retains his abilities from previous games to aid you in battle and exploration.
PSO2 NGS: Sonic keyword
In June 2022, Sega hosted a Sonic Birthday 2022 event, during which players were able to collect rewards through keywords. You could also view the trailer for Sonic the Movie 2 in the game and enjoy the “Sonic Lobby”.
The Sonic Lobby was filled with objectives for Sonic and his friends. Players had to reveal the secret form of the big Sonic in the center of the lobby by collecting all the rings that were placed in the Shopping Plaza.
This event was a great success, as many players participated in it.
In order to celebrate the new game, Sonic Frontiers, Sega released another Sonic Keyword. Though the game did not receive a collaboration event like the Sonic Birthday 2022 event. This decision has caused controversy, as NGS players expected a limited-time event.
Nevertheless, players can enter the keyword, “Sonic_Frontiers_on_sale_now” in the game to procure 3 accessories. You can use the keyword in the game from 9 November 2022 until 10 January 2023. This gives players enough time to claim the accessories.
In order to redeem your accessories, you must open the in-game chat before typing in the keyword. However, you can also copy and paste the keyword into the in-game chat to receive the rewards.
Once you enter the keyword, you will receive a Floating Sonic, Floating Tails, Floating Knuckles, and 5 Special Scratch Tickets. The 3 accessories are character figures that can be equipped to float over your character’s shoulder.
It is advisable that you redeem your accessories as soon as possible, as they may be removed from the game once the keyword expires.
Special Scratch Tickets
Players can play Special Scratch Tickets, FUN Scratch Tickets, and Star Gem Scratch Tickets to earn valuable items that will serve you well during your adventures. You could obtain attractive items, such as outfits and parts.
These Scratch Ticket types can be earned for free in the game, but you may have to participate in in-game events or complete specific tasks to earn them.
You can also purchase ARKS Cash (AC) Scratch Tickets with real-life money. Bear in mind that it is not mandatory to purchase these tickets.
How to use your Special Scratch Tickets
After acquiring your Special Scratch Tickets, you can open the main menu and select the shop tab. Here, you have to click on “Play Scratch Tickets”, which will trigger a new menu.
PSO2: NGS players then have to select the Scratch Ticket that they wish to play from the various types that are available.
If you have Special Scratch Tickets, you have to select that menu to use them. The items that you receive are randomly generated, so there is no guarantee that you will receive any specific item.
Additional keywords
Sega occasionally introduces new keywords to the game that players can use in order to redeem unique rewards.
It is noteworthy that some of these keywords have expiration dates, while others are active for a longer period of time. Some of the active keywords are:
