PSO2 NGS: Food Guide
Foods in PSO2: NGS give you a nice stat boost depending on which one you cook with, also if you’re premium, it gives you a nice tri-boost up to 10% depending on the number of materials used (1% per number of materials used). This buff will last for 2 hours regardless of the number of mats used.
Why foods are important in PSO2 New Genesis?
- Knowing this can help you plan what ingredients you want to use and what effect you want.
- What is good about cooking is that you can make your own dish or stats that you want.
- If you want pure damage, which most of us want, since damage or potency is added through all the meat products, then select the quality of meat you want depending on the second stats that you want.
- Combining damage, extra pp recovery, or reduce PP consumption are all solid choices.
The best dish to cook depends on the player’s play style. If you want to focus on a pure double stat, which means using only 10 of the same ingredients or still focus on that double-stack but with the lower max double stats while giving you the most bang for your buck.

When you know what types of materials there are you can notice that they have a “prefix” on them which you can combine regarding the type of food, select 4 or more of certain prefixes and it will give you a bonus.
I will explain how they work and how you can identify them better. Since meat is more “farmable” I recommend using it for the “big” quantity usage.
Rich Foods
PSO2: NGS rich foods reduce PP consumption when using photon arts or techniques.
This Prefix on bonus gives you the following
# of Rich | PP consumption |
4 | -5% |
5 | -5.5% |
6 | -6% |
7 | -6.5% |
8 | -7% |
9 | -7.5% |

Robust Foods
Robust foods gives increase HP recovery.
This Prefix on bonus gives you the following

5 | +20% |
6 | +30% |
7 | +35% |
8 | +40% |
9 | +45% |

Light Foods
The light foods increase PP recovery.
This Prefix on bonus gives you the following

5 | +12% |
6 | +14% |
7 | +16% |
8 | +18% |
9 | +19% |

Crisp Foods
Crisp foods increases weak point damage.
This Prefix on bonus gives you the following
