Ni No Kuni: Cross Worlds is a popular mobile game that invites players to experience role-playing elements in a persistent world. As the name of the game suggests, it forms part of the classic Ni No Kuni franchise, meaning you can expect similar content, mechanics, and elements in this game.
The story follows a beta tester for a fantasy virtual reality game called Soul Diver, which transports the characters to the world of Ni No Kuni. In Soul Diver, you will encounter an artificial intelligence (AI) character named Rania before a bug crashes the game.
Players awaken in a burning city, where they have to save the Queen. Currently, you can choose between 5 character classes, each of which have their own unique talents and abilities.
What are the different classes?
When you first start playing the game, you get the opportunity to select a class, but keep in mind that no class has similar abilities and powers. The classes can be described as follow :

Ni No Kuni Cross Worlds: Familiars
In the early stages of the game, you receive a quest for which you have to deliver a mysterious egg. Once the egg has hatched, you will get your first Familiar, whose main purpose is to aid you in your travels.
Familiars are Warriors of Heart, and they are born from everything in the fictional world that has a heart. You need to learn how to link the Familiar’s heart with your own, luckily it is a simple process. To access your Familiars, you can click on the 3 stripes in the upper right corner of the screen before selecting Familiars.
You can then view the Familiars you have collected, before equipping one to your character. Your heart and the Familiar’s heart are then connected.
You can collect additional Familiars as you advance in the game, but keep in mind that some Familiars are stronger than others. Furthermore, each Familiar possesses unique powers and abilities that can help you defeat enemies.
Players can equip up to 3 Familiars simultaneously. Some of the Familiars you can collect in the game are:

How to tame a Familiar
As you advance in the main storyline, you will discover the taming system, which essentially allows you to tame Familiars. To do this, you need to find a Brighterfly in the world and then interact with it. You can then use a biscuit to try and tame the Familiar that spawns.
Bear in mind that Familiars can range from 1-star to 4-stars, however, the 4-star Familiars are quite rare and require rarer biscuits. Brighterflies are described as glowing clusters of dark blue butterflies, but be careful not to confuse them with the pale blue butterflies flying around the world.
Can Familiars be improved?
Even if improving your Familiars seems like a simple feature, it is actually a crucial process. This is because you cannot clear difficult content with early-game Familiars. Fortunately, there are numerous methods you can use to improve your pets, including increasing their level, evolving them, enhancing their skills, and equipping a toy.
However, it is advised that you first focus on increasing their level before attempting the other methods.
Who are the best Familiars in the game?
The Familiars are divided into varying tiers, depending on their skills, power, and statistics. The SS-tier generally has the best Familiars in the game, while the C-tier contains the weaker Familiars. The tiers are:
