MSF has various types of heroes that you can collect, one of which is Gamma, and only specific characters can counter it.
In Marvel Strike Force (MSF), players can step into the well-renowned Marvel Universe to protect the world from enemies. Since the game is based on the classic Marvel series, you will likely encounter alike heroes, super villains, storylines, and locations in MSF.
There are numerous activities that you can enjoy, but it is advised that you focus on the main storyline. One of the activities that you can participate in is the Alliance War, however, you first have to assemble a squad of heroes to do so.
MSF features more than 25 heroes for gamers to acquire and play with. During the Alliance War, you have to strategically build a team to counter your opponents. For instance, if you are playing against Gamma, you have to allocate a Gamma Counter.
Alliance War in MSF
The Alliance War allows players to join epic battles. This allows them to flex their entire roster in an all-out assault on an opposing Alliance Helicarrier for big rewards, endless strategy, and limited opportunities to showcase their skills.
The objective of the activity is to outscore your opponents in a 24-hour battle by eliminating opposing forces and destroying Helicarrier rooms.
Though you still have to defend your own Helicarrier. You will be rewarded with gold, war credits, and access to exclusive character shards for your efforts.
Winning the War is not an easy task, as it requires coordination and strategy.
MSF: Gamma counter
During an Alliance War in MSF, players must select their best heroes to defeat their opponents. However, you have to ensure that you select heroes that can counter the opponents’ heroes.
The only viable counter for a Gamma team in an Alliance War is a mirror match. In theory, players can afford a certain slight punch-up, but even if players are a lot stronger than their opponents, nothing guarantees success.

This is because success is determined by the random-number-generator (RNG) and whose Stunners will be effective first.
Because of Brawn, both teams will have immunity and therefore, a team with more Skirmishers that will penetrate immunity with vulnerability and leave enemy members open to control will succeed.
As long as you keep Brawn and She-Hulk stunned, while focusing on Red Hulk, you have nothing to be afraid of.
In theory, Dormhold can defeat Gamma in the right circumstances. Their strength must be significantly higher because they do not have a way to control Gamma in was as they control other teams. Unfortunately, their abilities mean nothing against Gamma.
This is because their self-sustain is the best in MSF, but they can hope for victory if their statistics are high enough. Nevertheless, the chances of winning are on a big leash.
How to unlock heroes
When you first start playing MSF, your character collection is limited, but you can unlock additional characters by recruiting them through Character Shards.
Character Shards can be earned through gameplay, and therefore, you have to complete campaign missions, hunt achievements, and participate in in-game events to collect them.
If players wish to recruit additional heroes faster, Character Shards are available for purchase in the Supplies store and various Orbs.
Keep in mind that some of these packs can only be purchased with real-life money. It is not mandatory to purchase a pack, but it can influence your gameplay significantly.
Alliance War mechanics
It is important that each Alliance member who participates in the war defends one of 2 slots in a room. The green health status bars indicate that the slot has already been claimed by a fellow Alliance Member. Players are responsible for up to 8 defence squads in your chosen room.
Once you have selected a room, you can claim a player slot. You then have to set defence squads in the order that you want them attacked but bear in mind that attacks can only see 2 defence squads at a time.
Default S.H.I.E.L.D Guards automatically fill unassigned defence squad slots when the war commences.
You should plan your defences around the bonuses that each room provides. Some characters will benefit more than others. For instance, Support and Protector characters benefit from the Medbay and they should thus be assigned to that room.
What happens when the Alliance War finishes?
Once the war is complete, players can collect their rewards from their inbox messages. After collecting your rewards, you should strengthen your roster for the next war. This means that you can upgrade your heroes and collect additional heroes.
Your Alliance will also gain leaderboard points, based on whether you had a victory or defeat. It is noteworthy that losses receive the same number of leaderboard points as ties, so you have to do whatever it takes to win the war.
One of your rewards is War Credits, which you can use to purchase exclusive rewards from the War Store.
