Taoists in MIR4 are strong damage dealers, however, they have the ability to heal not only themselves, but their allies as well.
Overview
MIR4 is a well-known role-playing, open-world multiplayer online game (MMORPG). It allows players to enter the world of MIR to start their own adventure. In the game, players are able to capture the Hidden Valley, collect taxes, join a 50-player raid and declare war. Additionally, players can also participate in castle sieges, set a bounty on certain enemies and hunt enemies with their friends.
Players are also able to join a mighty clan to participate in the large-scale player-versus-player mode. However, if players prefer not to join combat situations, they can enjoy the peaceful life of gathering, hunting and crafting. Whatever players choose to do, their story will be legendary.
MIR4 was one of the first games to introduce a unique looting system. The game features a free-for-all loot system. This means that anyone has the right to claim any loot, even if players did not participate in defeating an enemy. With regard to treasure chests, players have 30 seconds to protect the loot they want, while others have 30 seconds to fight for the right to claim the loot.
When players first start playing MIR4, they will need to create a digital avatar. The game currently features four distinct classes players can chose from. The following table indicates the name of the class, and a short description of the class:
Class | Description |
Sorcerer | The Sorcerers are wielders of magic. They are able to destroy their enemies with the power of the elements. Even though they are very powerful when fighting alone, they will become stronger when they are protected by allies. |
Taoist | Taoists are truth seekers who help others with their spells and swordsmanship. Due to their divine recovery skill, they are able to overcome any hurdle in their path. |
Warrior | Warriors are strong fighters who crush their enemies by wielding a heavy great sword. They are armed with sturdy armour and have an unyielding will. These fighters will always step up to lead others in combat. |
Lancer | Lancer is a tyrant on the battlefield who defeats his enemies with a long spear. This character is armed with a variety of skills that can attack and defend at the same time. He is able to break the enemy’s formation and will kill a target at any cost. |
MIR4: Taoist
Taoists are well known for their martial arts skills. It thus comes as no surprise that their entire build centres around close combat. This class is not recommended for players that prefer to have a little distance between them and their enemies. It is important to note that a Taoist is very hard to learn. However, once it has mastered, players will be able to increase their rank very easy.
To become a powerful Taoist, players need to learn how to gap close. This is very important, as everything will be in close proximity. However, once players are able to get their hands on the enemy, they are almost guaranteed to win.
Additionally, Taoists feature multiple skills. Players should thus know which skill does what, and in what combination these skills must be used. This will allow the players to chain crowd control (CC) the enemies by keeping them in a long-running combination.
MIR4: Taoist’s skills
Skill | Description |
Ray of Light | The Ray of Light skill is a Taoist’s ultimate ability. The skill forms a spear of light that penetrates all enemies in the player’s path. Since it is an ultimate skill, it might have a cool down reduction (CDR). This means that players will have to wait some time before they are able to use it again. |
Moonlight Wave | It is a Taoist palm skill that strikes enemies with ways of yin energy. The skill looks like the moonlight pouring down on the ground, hence the name. |
Sunbeam Sword | This is a useful skill, as it infuses Spell Power into a sword. This ability shines as bright as the sun to hypnotize the enemy. The player is then able to attack the enemy’s vital spot. |
Moonlight Orb | This skill enables a Taoist to create a moonlight bead. This holds enemies like the pull of a full moon on the ocean and crushes them. |
Rain of Blades | Rain of Blades attacks enemies by pouring forth phantoms made of Sword Force. However, these phantoms are as destructive as the sword itself. |
Heal | Taoists feature a magic spell that heals wounds with divine light energy. The skill has the ability to heal both the caster and nearby allies. |
Piercing Blades | This is an advanced sword skill that creates a great number of sharp arrows. The arrows are made of Sword Force. |
Guardian Circle | A Taoist has the ability to summon Earth Energy to protect allies from physical damage. The skill also enhances the caster’s physical ability. |
Tai Chi | The skill creates a vacuum by circulating Taiji. It thus sucks nearby enemies into it to crush them. |
Blasting Charm | With this skill, a Taoist can throw a thin talisman sheet. The sheet causes an explosion strong enough to split a rock once it attaches to an enemy. |
Soaring Slash | Taoists are able to continuously throw sharp disks made of Sword Force. The force penetrates into the enemy’s body and kills them from the inside. |
Expulsion Circle | This skill increases a Taoist ability to resist spells. It also gives the character some courage to fight evil beings. |
Greater Heal | With Greater Heal, players are able to instantly cure all wounds by consuming all focus. However, if this skill is improved to a certain level, it can revive fallen allies. |
Conclusion
Even though Taoists are strong damage dealers, they have the abilities to heal themselves, as well as their allies. It is important to note that it may take some time to master this class due to its complexity. However, once it is mastered, players will be able to gain ranks easier and faster.
