Overview
Lord of the Rings (LOTR): Rise to War invites players to step into the fantasy world of Mordor, where they will experience role-playing and adventure elements.
The game is based on the classic book and film trilogy, Lord of the Rings, and it reminds us that the epic tales, whether of love, friendships, or glory are in days bygone.
The game currently features more than 10 distinct factions, but you can only choose one. You will have the opportunity to choose a faction when you first start playing the game.
It is worth noting that each faction has evil and good characters from the books and films. Choosing a faction comes down to personal preference, but there are some that are considered better than others.
What is the objective of factions?
Players can decide which faction they want to be a part of in LOTR: Rise to War. Each faction has a specific hotspot location on the map, as well as specific Commanders and troops. Moreover, each faction provides unique benefits and buffs to its members.
Once you have joined a faction, you will have the opportunity to fight side by side with your faction members when monsters or other factions invade your areas. It is a simple task to select a faction, but it can impact your gameplay significantly.
This is because all the tasks and activities you complete will contribute to your faction’s rank. It is alleged that you will receive various rewards if your faction forms part of the top ranks at the end of a season.
LOTR: Rise to War Best factions
As previously mentioned, there are over 10 different factions for players to choose from, however, some factions are considered better than others. This is because they may provide players with more beneficial buffs or feature stronger troops and Commanders.
There are 4 factions that many players believe are the best in the game, namely Gondor, Rohan, Isengard and Mordor. Though they are seen as the best factions, you do not have to select one of them as your faction, if you like or prefer another faction over them.
Rohan applies a buff on its members that increases march speed. This allows you to reach targets on the map faster than other factions. Gondor comes with a buff bonus that reduces construction speed, which means that you can build and upgrade facilities faster than others.
Despite Mordor being an evil faction, it provides a buff that increases resource production. You can thus produce or yield more resources than other factions, faster. Isengard features a buff that reduces recruitment costs. This means that you can train troops or recruit units at a reduced cost.
