How to relocate a settlement in LOTR: Rise to War
You can select one of 10 factions when you first start playing the game. Each faction has a designated area for its members.
If you are unhappy about your keep’s location, you can relocate it as long as it still falls inside the borders of your faction. To start the relocation process, you have to meet the requirements. This means your Ring has to be at or above level 15.
It is noteworthy that you have to obtain the relocation ability, which can be purchased in your Fellowship, or Warband’s shop. Keep in mind that this item costs approximately 500 contribution points, which you can get by assisting members of your alliance with construction projects.
Moreover, you have to clear nine tiles in a 3X3 formation. It is recommended that you ensure these tiles are surrounded by resource production tiles. You will also have to recall all of your Commanders before you can relocate.
To finalise the relocation process, you have to click on the new location, and select ‘Build’ before clicking on the ‘Relocate’ option.
Why should you relocate your settlement?
There are several reasons why players choose to relocate their settlements. The reason may be quite simple, such as moving their settlement to be closer to friends or allies, or the move might be more beneficial to your resource production. Players who do not wish to relocate their settlement do not have to. Relocating is entirely your decision and it is up to you to decide if you are unhappy, or happy with your keep’s location.
That being said, many players decide to relocate their keep to obtain more resource tiles, which, in turn, has a direct influence on their gameplay.
