Why are decorations important?
It is important to note that you will only be able to unlock Décors after expanding your kingdom territory for the first time. Decors are decorative objects that you can physically place in your kingdom for Décor Points and general visual appeal.
As you upgrade your kingdom, you will unlock more decoration Themes. That being said, when all Décors belonging to one theme are placed, you will receive a predetermined number of Crystals as a reward. However, having one or more of the items in storage does not count for this.
Crystals are a premium currency of the game, and they can generally be purchased with real life money. It is the only currency that can be used to draw Cookies from the standard Cookie Gacha. It is thus recommended that you place Décors in order to obtain Crystals.
How to earn Décor Points in Cookie Run: Kingdom
As mentioned above, you can decorate your kingdom for Décor Points and visual appeal. Décor Points are needed for upgrading the Cookie Castle and unlocking Achievements. The only way to earn Décor Points is by placing Décors and buildings in your kingdom.
Other than Achievements and Castle upgrading, the Décor Points are very similar to Prestige, as they do not have much use besides signifying your standing amongst other players. Décor Points may seem like a simple aspect, but they are one of the most effective methods of obtaining the important currency, Crystals.

What are Landmarks?

What is Cookie Specific Décor?
