Once you have reached level 80 of your crafting line in Final Fantasy XIV, you should focus on doing Levequests and gaining Collectable Crafts to improve your level.
Overview
Final Fantasy XIV (FFXIV) is a popular video game that invites players to experience fictional role-playing elements. Players can explore a persistent world in which they can interact with both the environment and other players.
The game features a variety of activities for players to enjoy, including crafting, questing, defeating bosses, and join powerful guilds, among others.
You have to create a character before you can discover the world and participate in the activities. Players can customise their characters by choosing their gender, name, race, and facial features.
You are also able to choose to be either a Disciple of Magic or War, while the Disciples of Hand and Land are initially locked.
What is the difference between Disciples of Hand and Land?
When you first start playing the game, you will be able to choose your fighting style, you can either use magic or physical damage to defeat enemies as you progress in the game. When you reach a certain role, you will be able to easily unlock Disciple of Land or Hand.
Keep in mind that both roles play an essential part in the game and neither one is more important than the other. Before you choose a class, it is advised that you know the difference between the two.
Disciples of Land are the harvesters, as they have knowledge about all the plants and minerals that can be found in the world and the Disciples of Hand are the crafters, as they have the ability to work with anything, ranging from the most delicate cloth to the most resilient metal.
FFXIV: Level 80 to 90 crafting
It is important to note that all the Disciples in the game should level their skill lines, and you have to perform several activities and tasks in order to increase a specific skill’s level. The final stage of levelling your crafting skill is between level 80 and 90.
During this stage, players can craft any Collectable between level 80 and 90, according to your current level. Moreover, your Recipe Level will increase as your game level increases. However, it is highly recommended that you do not craft Collectables that are above your current level.
This is because you can only hand in Collectable crafts that are one level above or below your own, when you reach level 81 in that skill line.
In addition to crafting Collectables, you should complete Levequests, which can be much easier because you can just purchase the items crafted from the market board if you have the Gil.
If you want to do this, it is advised that you handle your Gleaner Leaves unlocking duty. You should accept a Disciple of Hand or Land position that is appropriate for a minimum level of 80 and take it to Old Sharlayan, the Scholar’s Harbor.
How many Levequests can you do?
Levequests are fairly easy to complete, as players only have to deliver an item that the task asked for and return it. You will gain many experience points, some Gil, and a miscellaneous piece that can assist you with crafting.
You can only have 100 Levequests in total. Moreover, they regenerate in groups of 3 over 12 hours. This means that you can obtain new, or additional Levequests every 12 hours.
What are the crafting classes?
Players should remember that only certain classes in the game can craft items and gear. The following table outlines the classes, with a description of each:
Class | Description |
Carpenter | They are the foremost workers of wood, as they possess expert knowledge of hardness, weight, pliability, and value of all types of timber. |
Blacksmith | Their work is in demand everywhere, since everyone in the game needs a weapon or 2. |
Armourer | They treat and work the metals of the world into all forms or armour. |
Goldsmith | They are capable of turning precious metals and stones into various accessories that appeal to the Eorzean aesthetic. |
Leatherworker | Leatherworkers refine the pelts, hides, and furs into wearable garments. |
Alchemist | Alchemists are the masters of science and nature, as they ensure their livelihood through the transmogrification of mundane materials into wondrous waters. |
Rotation
There are various rotations you can do to craft 80 Durability items during this stage, however, many believe that the following are the best rotations:
- Reflect
- Waste Not II
- Delicate Synthesis (until your progress is within Byregot’s Blessing range)
- Master’s Mend
- Byregot’s Blessing
