During the Viking challenge in Evony you can defeat as many Vikings as possible to earn great rewards, however, this event is only active for 3 days.
Evony: The King’s Return is an adventurous role-playing game in which gamers can build an empire in the medieval era.
As the lord or lady of a keep, it is up to you to recruit Generals, train troops, gather resources and defend your empire from other players.
Players can enjoy several activities and features in the game, but some may initially be locked.
However, you can access them once you meet the requirements to do so. One of the challenges you can partake in is the Viking Trial, which is only active for 3 days.
Tips for beginners
When you first start playing the game, you may find it overwhelming, as there are many things that require your attention. In order to protect you from being attacked by other players, you can benefit from the Beginner’s Protection buff.
While the buff is active, you should build a solid foundation for your future conquests. Focus on upgrading your buildings and training troops in time.
It is advised that you do not focus too much on other in-game activities and events, as the buff is only active for a certain duration.
Evony: Viking trial
In Evony, once your Beginners Protection buff deactivates, you can focus more on the in-game events, challenges, and activities.
One of the challenges is the Viking trial, which takes place weekly. It commences every Monday at 8:00 server time and concludes 3 days later.
In this time, you have to defeat as many Vikings as possible to earn gold and materials. To participate in this challenge, you can open the Event Center and select the Viking event.
Keep in mind that you can choose the difficulty level. The higher the difficulty, the more the rewards.
If it is your first time participating in the challenge, you should select the easy difficulty. Afterward, you can summon and attack Vikings to earn great rewards.
To summon a Viking, open the Viking event menu by going to the list of Events and clicking on the Viking event.
In the new menu, you will find a “Summon” tab and if you click on it, you will be redirected to the World Map at the location where your Viking is. It is crucial to note that summoning a Viking costs approximately 5 stamina points.
Once you have summoned a Viking, you can attack it as an Alliance Rally, or individually. Both attacks cost 10 stamina points. To rally your Viking, you must ask for help in your Alliance. This deducts a Viking Poleaxe.
After asking for help, you can perform the rally like with other event monsters or boss monsters. Alternatively, you can attempt to defeat the Viking solo, but the chances of failing are higher.
Viking levels and power
It is crucial to bear in mind that the Vikings have different levels, and the highest level is level 50. The higher the level is, the more difficult it is to defeat it.
A Viking’s power is determined by the mode you select, as well as its level:
|Level||Easy Vikings’ power||Normal Vikings’ power||Hard Vikings’ power|
|5||1.3 million||4.2 million||13.5 million|
|10||1.7 million||5.9 million||18.1 million|
|15||2.2 million||8.4 million||24.4 million|
|20||2.9 million||11.8 million||32.9 million|
|25||3.8 million||16.6 million||44.4 million|
|30||4.9 million||23.4 million||59.8 million|
|35||6.4 million||32.9 million||80.5 million|
|40||8.3 million||46.3 million||108.5 million|
|45||10.8 million||65.1 million||146.1 million|
|50||14.1 million||91.7 million||196.9 million|
Viking trial rewards
Although the difficulty mode and level of the Viking that you can defeat varies, players will generally receive the same rewards.
But the quantity of these rewards are different, for instance, if you defeat a level 1 easy Viking, you will get a Viking War Chest, a Viking Rescue Chest, and 10 Refining Stones.

As stated previously, asking for help to defeat a Viking in your Alliance deducts 1 Viking Poleaxe. When you start the challenge, you will receive 5 Viking Poleaxes.
Evony players have an opportunity to gain 1 Poleaxe every time they defeat a Viking.
