Septimius Severus is a powerful General in Evony: The King’s Return, so it is advised that you use him for PvP Siege attacks or Siege Defence.
Evony: The King’s Return is an exciting role-playing game in which gamers can build an empire up from the ground. As the lord or lady of a keep in the medieval era, you have to recruit troops, defeat enemies, harvest resources, and construct buildings.
Even though these activities are quite enjoyable, you should primarily focus on completing the main story of Evony. While advancing in the game, you will collect Generals with unique talents.
One of the Generals you can acquire is Septimius Severus.
What is the objective of having Generals?
Generals can greatly affect your gameplay. This is because you need Generals in everything you do, including crafting, researching, fighting, and constructing.
There are more than 20 Generals in the game, but bear in mind that each General is categorised in a specific rarity. The rarer the General is, the more powerful he or she is.
Since each General has a specific task in Evony, it is advised that you only use them for their unique role. This means that some Generals excel at player-versus-player, while others are best suited in a Subordinate City.
Evony: Septimius Severus
The Generals in Evony are further divided into Historic and Non-Historic characters. Historic Generals are based on real-world historical leaders from various cultures, and Non-Historic characters are fictitious.
One of the Historic Generals in Evony is Septimius Severus; a Roman empire who emerged from a brutal struggle and created the Severan dynasty.
Septimius Severus is quite an effective Siege player-versus-player General. His Siege Attack Buff is respectable, however, players should note that he is a let-down compared to other options.
This is because of the inability to add a Siege Attack skill book to Septimius Severus. There are therefore better options if you can obtain them.
Players can also use Septimius Severus as a Siege Defence General, as all his buffs are active in defence. This allows you to take full advantage of his skills.
Septimius Severus’ special skill, Severan Dynasty, increases a siege machine’s attack by 35 percent and health points by 20 percent. However, this skill only activates when Septimius Severus is leading the army.
Similarly to other Generals, Septimius Severus can be ascended. The additional buffs that an ascended Septimius Severus will receive to his special skill for each ascended star level are:
|1||Siege machine attack is increased by 5 percent
Defence and health points are increased by 10 percent
|2||Marching troop death into wounded rate has increased by 8 percent|
|3||Siege machine defence and health points are increased by 25 percent
March size and capacity is increased by 4 percent
|4||Siege machine defence and health points are increased by 25 percent|
|5||Siege machine attack is increased by 20 percent
March Size capacity has increased by 6 percent.
Septimius Severus’ statistics
Septimius Severus has several statistics that can be improved by increasing his level. The table below lists his base and growth statistics:
Septimius Severus’ builds
As previously stated, Septimius Severus can be used for Siege PvP and Siege Defence. The following table lists the best builds for both roles:
|Build||Description||Skill books||Equipment Refines|
|Siege PvP||This build is focused on improving a very heavy siege march. It is likely only viable for big spenders, as gem repair costs can be exorbitant.||
|Siege Defence||This build focuses on improving heavy siege city defence. It is potent and deals huge damage to enemies.||
