Evony: The King’s Return is an adventurous video game in which gamers can assume the role of a lord or lady in medieval times. You have to build a keep from scratch while defeating monsters and harvesting resources.
A time may come when you will lose your troops on the battlefield. Fortunately, you can recall them through the Holy Palace, for which you need Horns of Recalling, thus, many players have wondered how to acquire the item.
What is recalling?
During battles, some of the killed troops become deserters, instead of than surviving or wounded. Players can recall their lost troops using the Holy Palace in your keep. Once you have recalled your troops, they may be placed in your hospital to heal.
However, if your troops do not require healing, they will return to the Rally Spot in your keep. Players can then use them to fight enemies, harvest resources, and kill monsters.
It is advisable that you recall your troops regularly, as the Holy Palace can only recall a certain number of troops at a time. The deserter capacity is determined by the Holy Palace level.
Evony: How to get Horns of Recalling
Before you can recall your troops in Evony, you need to acquire Horns of Recalling. The Holy Palace produces Horns over time when there are deserters in it. Players can also get Horns from Monsters and resource gathering.
In the right bottom corner of the menu, there is a world map. If you click the icon, you can search the map for different enemies. It is noteworthy that some enemies are stronger than others, so it is recommended that you defeat low-level enemies initially.
As you progress in the game, your troops and Generals will grow stronger, therefore, you will be able to defeat stronger enemies. Resources, on the other hand, can be procured by sending your troops to a resource node.
There are varying resources on the world map, each of which has a level. The higher the level of the resource node is, the more resources you can harvest from it.
Deserters can only be recalled once you have collected enough Horns of Recalling. Bear in mind that players cannot get more Horns from Holy Palace, Monsters, or resource gathering once the quantity of Horns that you have reaches its limit.
Deserters are recalled in the descending order of troop tier and at the proportion of troop type. If your troops are wounded or dead, from the server-versus-server war and battlefield, they will go to your hospital.
In the hospital, you have to heal your troops before you can send them into battle again. In order to heal your troops, you need a certain number of resources. Once you have confirmed the healing process, it will take several days to heal your troops.
How to defeat enemies
Bosses and monsters will drop several items after defeat, which means that there is a chance that you will get Horns of Recalling. In order to defeat a monster, you have to select a specific troop type and General.
After selecting your troops and a General, they will march towards the enemy. If the enemy is close by, the march type will not be long. However, the further away a monster is, the longer it will take for your army to reach the monster.
Once the monster has been vanquished, you will earn rewards. Most of the items will be in your inventory, but the Horns of Recalling can be found in the Holy Palace.
How to harvest resources
This process is quite similar to defeating enemies, but instead of selecting an enemy on the world map, you have to select a resource tile.
You also have to choose your troops and a General. For this mission, you do not have to select a General with high-attack power.
Instead, you have to select a General who specializes in collecting resources. After selecting your army, they will march towards the resource tile. Collecting resources can take several hours, although you can recall your troops at any time.
In addition to collecting resources, you may get Horns of Recalling.
Which Generals should you use?
There are more than 20 Generals in Evony that specialize in unique tasks. Some Generals are efficient in gathering resources, while others perform best on the battlefield.
