When one of your generals gets captured in Evony: The King’s Return, you can get them back by paying a ransom to your Shrine.
Evony: The King’s Return is an adventurous role-playing mobile game that invites you to take on the role of either a lady or a lord in medieval times. It is based on the classic video game, Evony.
As a result, players will enjoy similar gameplay, mechanics, activities, and content as they would in the video game. The game offers players a variation of activities to enjoy.
You have to solve multiple puzzles in order to advance in the main story. These puzzles are the levels of the game that players have to pass before they can move on to the next.
Why is having multiple activities important?
According to research, having more than one objective keeps players engaged and interested in the game. It also ensures that the game does not become repetitive and tedious, as it would not only focus on a single activity, but on a range of tasks.
You have the opportunity to choose which activities you want to participate in. However, it is recommended that you first progress in the main questline before focusing on the additional various activities.
Though some activities will be locked when you first start playing the game, players can unlock and gain access to these activities once they have met the specific requirements to do so.
Evony: How to get a captured general back
In addition to all the activities you can participate in, you can also join different gaming modes, including the player-versus-player (PvP) and player-versus-environment (PvE) modes.
In PvP, players will use their best generals to fight against other players for a better chance at winning great rewards.
Keep in mind that other players can capture some of your generals when you are in this gaming mode.
This means that you will be unable to use them in other activities afterwards, and you will also not find them in your keep. Unfortunately, there is little you can do to get your general back.
However, that being said, you may be asked to pay a ransom to your Shrine to get your general back. But even so, the player who kidnapped your general may decide to either release them after some time, or to execute the general.
They can also decide to do nothing with the kidnapped general, who will then be automatically released after 3 days.
What happens to an executed general?
If the player who kidnapped your general decides to execute them, you will be able to revive them by going to your Shrine. This means that even if they were executed, you may still be able to get them back and use them on the battlefield in future.
Keep in mind that you may have to pay to revive your executed generals. It is worth noting that players will not receive any rewards or prizes if they decide to execute another player’s general.
It is thus entirely the player’s decision if they want to execute, release, or demand a ransom for the captured general, but they must remember the first option comes with consequences.
What is the Shrine?
All players in the game will find a Shrine in their keep. You can offer tributes to the Shrine to receive great rewards. Similarly to other buildings, you can also upgrade your Shrine to receive rewards.
Once a general of yours has been captured, you will be able to pay their ransom at your Shrine to release your general, although many players choose not to pay the ransom as it can be very expensive.
Will you permanently lose a captured general?
It is important to note that all your generals that have been captured will eventually return to your keep. This means that you will never permanently lose a captured general in the game.
However, some days may pass before you can use them on the battlefield again.
