Dislyte players can now encounter a famous YouTuber named Markiplier as a non-player character in the Bounty area of the game.
Dislyte is an exhilarating video game that invites gamers to fight alongside mythological characters in turn-based battles.
Patch 3.2.2 was released on Tuesday, 4 April 2023 and it introduces several new features and Espers to the game. After downloading and installing the update, you will be able to enjoy Markiplier in Dislyte.
Who is Markiplier?
Mark Edward Fischbach, more commonly known as Markiplier, is an American YouTuber. He primarily uploads gaming content on his YouTube Channel.
He joined YouTube in 2012 and quickly established himself on the platform by uploading videos of survival horror games.
At the time of writing this, he has more than 34 million subscribers. In 2016, Markiplier signed with William Morris Endeavor, which is a well-known talent agency.
Shortly thereafter, he started a live tour, a clothing line and wrote and directed the YouTube Original series, A Heist with Markiplier and In Space with Markiplier.
Fischbach is considered one of the most popular gaming YouTubers, and he was listed by Forbes as the third highest-paid content creator on the platform in 2022.
In early April 2023, Markiplier revealed on his official YouTube channel that he will be joining Dislyte as a non-player character.
Although Patch 3.2.2 did not include information about Markiplier’s NPC, players will be able to find him once they have installed the latest update.
When you launch Dislyte and visit the Bounties area, you may notice that the usual NPC, Discboom, has been replaced by an in-game version of Markiplier.
This may not be a surprise to some players, though, as Dislyte and Markiplier asked players to vote on the tone of his voice lines on social media platforms.
In the video titled, “I’m on Observation Duty 4”, at the 2:07 mark, Markiplier announces that he will be joining the Dislyte platform.
He reveals details about a sponsorship and thanks the new Espers, Leora and Elaine, for giving him a chance to feature in Dislyte.
Markiplier’s NPC will take on the duties of Discboom. Therefore, all the features and activities that players could enjoy by interacting with Discboom are still available, however, you now have to interact with Markiplier.
Players who wish to get Discboom back can simply select the blue refresh icon, which is right next to the Bounties area.
In the new pop-up menu, you can select “Discboom” to replace Markiplier. Markiplier will then be removed from your screen, and you will be able to interact with Discboom.
It is important to note that Markiplier is not an Esper that you can collect, you can only enjoy him in the game as an NPC.
On Dislyte’s official Twitter account, the game allowed players to vote for the tone of Markiplier’s NPC’s voice tone.
The tweet reads, “Traveling through space and time, getting kidnapped! How do you think my character feels when he lands in Dislyte? Vote now!”
There are 3 options for the voice lines, which are indicated below:
|“Abduction in the middle of the night by 2 game characters? Just a regular day for Mark!” – Mark’s casual tone
|“Kidnapping? Time travel? Unlikely events? Mark must be very excited!” – Mark’s excited tone
|“Looks like Mark is about to be scared!” – Mark’s suspenseful tone.
Unfortunately, the vote concluded on Sunday, 9 April 2023, so players cannot vote anymore. However, you can still enjoy Markiplier’s NPC in Dislyte.
How long will Markiplier be in Dislyte?
Allegedly, Markiplier joined the game for the Beard Contest event. The event commenced on Tuesday, 4 April 2023 and will conclude on Tuesday, 2 May 2023.
During this time, you can procure Beard Energy by deploying the Espers listed on the event page when clearing stages.
You can clear Event Stages, Sonic Rift, Ritual Miracle, Sonic Miracle, Desolate Lands and Story Stages.
Players have to collect the designated quantity of Beard Energy and exchange it for amazing rewards, including an event avatar frame, a name card and Gold Records.
It is noteworthy that this event can only be enjoyed by players level 25 and higher. It is unknown whether Markiplier will be removed from Dislyte once the event concludes or not.
Elaine and Leora
In one of Markiplier’s videos, he thanks the new Espers, Elaine and Leora, for giving him the opportunity to make an appearance in Dislyte.
Leora, on the other hand, was inspired by Athena and she is a powerful fighter with the ability to assist the team.
