Players can battle ancient enemies and discover the undisclosed story between Diablo II and Diablo III in this mobile game, Diablo Immortal. The mobile game forms part of the classic Diablo series and you can explore the nightmarish realm of Sanctuary like never before.
Although, before you can enjoy the game, you have to create a character and follow the tutorial mission to fully understand the gameplay. During the tutorial you learn how to use your character’s skills and how to defeat enemies.

Why is gear important?
Although gear may seem like a simple, inconsequential feature to some, it actually plays a crucial role in the game. There are different types of gear sets that have the ability to improve your character’s talents and statistics.
Some gear sets can also provide your character with additional effects, however, this largely depends on the type and rarity of the gear.
This means that your character will become stronger when they equip gear and weapons. Subsequently, the game’s content becomes easier for your character to clear.
Even though you can equip any gear set on your character, it is recommended that you consider their skills and class before deciding on a set. Some gear sets allegedly perform better on certain classes than others.
Diablo Immortal: Gem Fragment
As stated above, you will come across various items as you progress in Diablo Immortal. One of the items you can find is a Gem Fragment, which is used to upgrade Legendary Gems. These gems can only be fitted into Primary Slot items that have 1 socket available.
Many new players underestimate the value of Legendary Gems, as the lower level gems in particular do not seem to offer much value. It is alleged that these gems are an important part of your gearing strategy, and you lose out on a lot of power if you do not pay attention to them.
You can be very successful in the game if you understand how to acquire and how to upgrade Legendary Gems.
How to acquire Legendary Gems
It is important to note, however, that Legendary Gems are not very important in the early stages of the game, but they become a crucial aspect of your gear once you start approaching endgame content. This is because their effects can deal higher-level damage to help you clear difficult content.
You can obtain Legendary Gems in the following ways:
- Players can use their Legendary Crests when entering a rift, with the guarantee of one Legendary Gem dropping for every chest used (Keep in mind, though, that they can only be used 3 times)
- The Battle Pass occasionally offers players Legendary Gems
- You can buy 1-star and 2-star Legendary Gems from the Apprentice Jeweller in exchange for platinum or runes
How to upgrade Legendary Gems
You need Gem Fragments to upgrade your Legendary Gems, as mentioned previously, however, you also need Gem Power. Players can acquire Gem Power by dismantling spare Legendary Gems at the Apprentice Jeweller. Furthermore, you can use duplicate Legendary Gems of the same type to upgrade another gem.
It is noteworthy that you do not need duplicates for all upgrade levels, but higher levels and higher rarity gems require additional duplicates to be upgraded. This means that improving 5-star gems can be very time-consuming.
