The Frozen Heart Legendary Gem in Diablo Immortal is extremely powerful, and it can be used by all classes.
Diablo Immortal is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) that invites gamers to collect shattered fragments of the corrupted Worldstone.
This mobile game is part of the classic Diablo series, and it is set between the events of Diablo II and Diablo III. Hence, you will likely encounter similar mechanics, gameplay, and regions in the series.
You begin your adventure in Wortham, which is being jeopardised by cultists and the undead. Aside from completing the main story arc of Diablo Immortal, you can defeat monsters, harvest resources, complete Elder Rifts, and procure gems.
One of the Legendary Gems that you can acquire is Frozen Heart, which was introduced in season 5.
Season 5
The game’s developer, Blizzard, occasionally introduces new content to the game to keep players engaged and motivated to play it. Season 5 commenced on 27 September 2022, and it will conclude on 27 October 2022.
Similarly to previous seasons, the battle pass for Season 5 hosts 40 ranks worth of challenges and rewards, including Legendary Gems, Crests, and Hilts.
There are 2 paid versions of the battle pass, and both are optional, so the battle pass has no direct influence on your gameplay. However, you can get rare cosmetics by purchasing 1 of the 2 battle passes.
Players can upgrade their battle pass to the Empowered Battle Pass for the full season, or the more expensive Collector’s Empowered Battle Pass.
Diablo Immortal: Frozen Heart
Players can also enjoy the Forgotten Nightmares update, which has introduced a new dungeon, a raid boss, several events, and a new area to explore. The update also released 3 new Legendary Gems, one of which is the Frozen Heart.
The Frozen Heart is a 5-star Legendary Gem which activates when you take damage. It triggers a Frigid Shield for 6 seconds that chills enemy attackers and absorbs damage equal to 360 percent of your base damage and an additional 1 458 damage.
The shield also grants your attacks a 60 percent chance to chill enemies, and your character cannot gain a Frigid Shield more than once every 20 seconds.
To obtain this Legendary Gem, players must complete Elder Rifts, but you have to use a Legendary Crest when you open a rift. If you complete the Elder Rift without a crest, there is a big possibility that you will not get a Frozen Heart.
For 3 weeks after the release of season 5, an option allows players to enable a modified drop table. This drop table offers you a 50 percent chance of acquiring a Frozen Heart once the 5-star Gem Drop occurs.
Unfortunately, this means that you still have to procure a 5-star gem. Players may have to complete dozens of Elder Rifts and use numerous Legendary Crests to earn a 5-star Legendary Gem.
Can the Frozen Heart be purchased?
If you do not enjoy farming, you can check the in-game marketplace to see if there is a Frozen Heart available for purchase. Keep in mind that the price of this gem varies from 22 000 to 75 000 platinum, which is one of the in-game currencies.
Frozen Heart statistics
Similarly to other gems in Diablo Immortal, the Frozen Heart has specific statistics. The gem can increase base attributes on all equipped items by 1.5 percent to 5 percent.
Additionally, it has a + 12 – 24 offence and defence rating. The Frozen Heart also decreases all the damage that you take from enemies further than 3 yards away by 10 percent.
Once the gem is upgraded to rank 5, it increases your chances of finding Magic Items by 15 percent.
Since Frozen Heart increases your defence against monsters, it can be used by every class in Diablo Immortal.
