The Blood Rose in Diablo Immortal is one of the most difficult bosses to defeat, however, it is recommended that you defeat it solo.
Diablo Immortal is a newly-released mobile game that is part of the action, role-playing video game series, Diablo. This game takes place between the events of Diablo II: Lord of Destruction and Diablo III. Players are invited to explore the nightmarish world of Sanctuary like never before.
Diablo Immortal is now a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) where you can join forces with countless other players to collect shattered fragments of the corrupted Worldstone.
It is your responsibility to prevent the Lord of Terror’s return and you may have to fight bosses and monsters in the process of doing this.
What are bosses and monsters?
The game contains more than 30 distinctive bosses and monsters that you can defeat. Each boss and monster rewards you with various loot once they are defeated.
Boss is an all-encompassing word used to describe any powerful, single enemy that must be killed in order for gamers to advance in the game.
That being said, bosses cannot be avoided, and you will not advance in the story if you do not defeat them. Monsters are the creatures that do not live in towns, and they are basically any non-player enemy.
You may notice that some of Diablo II monsters and bosses have found their way into Diablo Immortal.
Diablo Immortal: Blood Rose
One of the bosses in Diablo Immortal is the Blood Rose, who is located in the Sanguine Ruins. She forms part of the Blood Resurrection quest, specifically in the Lair of the Blood Rose sub-zone.
Since bosses cannot be avoided, you have to defeat the Blood Rose to move forward in the story.
The fight has 2 phases, and each one consists of different attacks. In the first fight, you can expect a stream of blood in a straight line, moving in an arc. There will also be balls of blood fired as projectiles from its side tentacles and the boss will summon dark creepers.
After Lakrii’s offering, the second phase starts. Bloodsworn will start attacking you, while the Blood Rose will fire blood projectiles into the air.
Diablo Immortal players can avoid these attacks by standing close to the boss, or alternatively, reaching the small gaps in between the lines of fire.
The boss also performs a strangling creeper attack, which is a powerful area-of-effect (AoE) skill. Standing in this area causes the character’s health to decrease, which, in turn, increases the boss’s health. As such, it is advised that you stand outside of this area when you are attacking the boss.
At a later stage of the second phase, the Countess sends Bloodsworn Simulacrums to attack your character. If you fail to defeat the Blood Rose, you have to restart the fight, as this cannot be prevented or avoided.
What is the Blood Resurrection quest?
The Blood Resurrection quest is the eighth Dark Wood quest which follows directly after the Tree of Inifuss. Once you have completed this quest, you can complete the Forgotten Tower Dungeon quest.
Similarly to other quests, you have specific objectives with which to complete the Blood of Resurrection. You should talk to Flavie, who will send you on a mission to the Sanguine Ruins.
Players then have to follow the Bloodsworn before talking to Liene. She will order you to enter the Lair of the Blood Rose to cut off the blood-sucking Dark Creeper.
Once this is completed, you need to kill the Blood Rose and leave the lair. Players can then talk to Akara and use the Blood Rose Waypoint to reach the Tree of Inifuss before continuing the story.
Player strategy
Players have created their own strategies to defeat the Blood Rose, since a lot of them find the fight extremely difficult.
The Blood Rose fight allegedly has 4 phases, and one is represented by a diamond to the right of the boss’ health bar. Every diamond marks a milestone for the boss’ health and phases. The phases can be described as follows:

| 1 | The boss starts with 10 million health. Players should only perform melee attacks during this phase. |
| 2 | It is indicated by 3 health diamonds, and by now the boss only has 4 million health. It will throw aerial blood at you, which has to be dodged as it deals damage over time. |
| 3 | This phase is indicated by 2 blood diamonds, and the boss has 1 million health. Here, the battle mechanics come into play and players should try to dodge the area-of-effect attack. |
| 4 | This phase has no diamonds, which means that the boss has reached the last health bar. It will throw everything it has at you, swapping between attacks until it dies. |
Should you defeat the Blood Rose with other players?
Although it may seem tempting to defeat the Blood Rose with other players, it is advised that you attempt the battle alone. This is because you have to get the timing of the attacks right, while avoiding the boss’ area-of-effect skill.
Other players might step into this AoE skill, which will cause the boss to increase its health. The fight will then take longer to complete. The best time to defeat the boss is when the server is not too active.
