Accursed Towers is a new gaming mode you can enjoy in Diablo Immortal; however, you have to be part of a clan to access it.

Players can experience the Sanctuary like never before in this adventurous mobile game, Diablo Immortal. As the name implies, it is part of the classic Diablo series.

Clans in Diablo Immortal

In order to enjoy the Accursed Towers, you need to be part of a clan. A clan is a group of players who have opted-in to access group specific features and to play the game under the same banner.

Clans are formed for several reasons, such as specific playstyles or social interactions.

Any player can begin a clan; however, they need to pay the clan creation fee. Once a player has founded a clan, others can join the clan and access the clan interface and clan chat.

Each clan is managed by a clan leader, who can appoint clan officers to help run the clan.

Diablo Immortal: Accursed Towers

A recent Diablo Immortal update released on Tuesday, 28 March 2023, introduced several new features, including the Accursed Towers. It is a new game mode that consists of player-versus-environment and player-versus-player gameplay.

Clans have to compete to claim ownership of the towers, thereby providing powerful bonuses to all members of the clan.

This also allows the clan members to acquire new cursed items. Unfortunately, you need to be part of a clan to participate in Accursed Towers.

Each clan may have up to 2 towers under their control per season. At the end of a season, the ownership of all towers will reset. At the start of a season, players can discover several towers on the map, all of which will be unclaimed towers.

During the first week of a season, a clan leader can select a tower through the Accursed Tower’s menu and attempt to claim it.

In order to gain ownership of a tower, the clan has to defeat Hell’s minions. Only 1 tower can be claimed during the first week of the season.

While fighting the enemies, the objective is to collect Cursed Shards. You cannot attack the enemies within a tower normally. Instead, you need to locate and activate the tower’s Curse Sources. Doing so will make the enemies within the tower vulnerable.

Bear in mind that you only have a certain amount of time to collect as much Cursed Shards as possible. Once the timer runs out, the top 10 clan members with the highest Cursed Shards collected will have them added to your team’s total.

A clan can choose to do as many runs to collect Cursed Shards at the same tower as they desire. However, only the highest team total will be accepted.

If your clan has collected the most Cursed Shards among all Clans competing for that tower, then your clan will gain ownership of the tower.

Defending a tower

Once you have claimed a tower, you need to defend it as Hell’s minions will try to retake their stolen home. When your Corruption meter reaches a certain point, demonic incursions will follow.

A clan’s members must defend the tower, otherwise it will be lost. When a tower is lost, it can be reclaimed by another clan.

Clan members have to power up their tower to ward off Hell’s minions. A clan leader can choose to power up a tower within the Accursed Tower’s menu.

Doing so will not only end the demons’ attacks, but it also increases the bonuses provided by your tower and periodic rewards provided by the Rewards Chest inside of it.

Player-versus-player

Other clans will be able to challenge your clan to a player-versus-player (PvP) match once you have powered up your tower. During the second week of the seasons, clans can have a second tower under their control.

Clans will be able to attempt to challenge for tower ownership from another clan through an all-out PvP match.

If your clan succeeds in the match, they will not only leave with bragging rights and a new receive periodic rewards from, but also several rewards for participating in the PvP match. These rewards generally consist of Cursed Items.

Cursed Items

Cursed Items are new Legendary items Diablo Immortal that have a cursed property. These items have a positive and negative property attached to them.

Neither property will activate unless you have at least one other Cursed Item equipped that shares the same positive property.

If a player has 2 or more Cursed Items equipped, they will receive the positive and negative property effects from both.

Positive properties will grow in power as you equip multiple Cursed Items with the same positive property, which increases occurring at 4 and 6 items.
