The Refined Qualichor in Destiny 2 can be used to open the Executioner’s chest, but you first have to complete the Memory Alembic quest.
In this exciting video game, Destiny 2: New Light, players can take on the role of an immortal warrior to protect the survivors of the human race from an intergalactic threat.
Similarly to its predecessor, Destiny, you can enjoy player-versus-player and a player-versus-environment gaming modes. Before you can enjoy these modes, you have to complete a tutorial mission to understand the game’s mechanics.
Once the tutorial is completed, you can enjoy the activities and events that Destiny 2 has to offer. One of the quests you can complete is Memory Alembic, which rewards you with a Refined Qualichor.
A quest, also called a mission, is a task in a video game that a player-controlled character, party, or group of characters can complete to earn rewards. In addition to its base game, Destiny 2 has released multiple expansions.
The base game, and its expansions, have a main story arc, which are mandatory to complete to advance in the game. Although the side quests are not mandatory to progress in the game, you can earn great rewards for completing them.
The 3 expansions and their main missions are:

Destiny 2: Refined Qualichor
One of the quests you can complete in Destiny 2 is Memory Alembic, and you will be rewarded with the Refined Qualichor for finishing the quest. To pick up the quest, you must acquire a Qualichor, which drops from the chest after completing a Deepsight puzzle.
Players have to complete these puzzles to unlock the Executioner Triumphs. It can be found under the secret tab in the Savuthun’s Throne World section of the Triumphs. The location of this puzzle changes every day, but fortunately, it can only spawn in 1 of 3 spots.
After completing a puzzle, you will get a Qualichor which you can take to Fynch to begin the Memory Alembic quest. After speaking to Fynch, you have to kill 8 of the Lucent Brood Executioners to get 8 Qualichors.
You can complete the previously mentioned puzzles to procure a Qualichor. Alternatively, you can defeat Lucent Hive Insequisitors, Commander, and Lightbearers in any zone of Savathun’s Throne World. If you fight through all the waves of this random event, a chest spawns, from which you can loot a Qualichor.
When you have 8 Qualichors, you can return to Fynch to complete the quest. He will reward you with a Refined Qualichor, which you need to open a rare chest. Once you have it, you should defeat Lucent Hive Insequisitors, Commander, and Lightbearers in any zone of Savathun’s Throne World.
After 3 waves, 3 Lightbearers, a chest, and a Deepsight, orb will spawn near the final battle. The chest will give you random loot, and you can use the Deepsight Orb to reach the Executioner’s Chest. You can only open that chest with a Refined Qualichor.
As previously stated, you have to acquire a Qualichor to start the Memory Alembic quest. The item can only be procured by completing puzzles.
There are currently only one of 3 spots that a puzzle can spawn in. It is advisable that you check these zones daily to complete the puzzle.
|Miasma Scorn Corpse Location||To find this corpse, players have to go to the Miasma Zone of the Savathun’s Throne World, then they should move towards the right side of the map to complete the puzzle|
|Fluorescent Canal Scorn Corpse||To locate this corpse, go to the Fluorescent Canal Zone where you will find the Sepulcher Lost Secret. Right above this sector, there are 2 buildings, and you have to enter the northern one|
|Quagmire Scorn Corpse||In the Quagmire zone, you have to go to the cavern system|
Can the Executioner’s chest be opened more than once?
After opening the chest, the Refined Qualichor will no longer be in your character’s inventory. If in the future, players can earn more Refined Qualichor, they can open the Executioner’s chest again to receive rewards.
Allegedly, you can pick up an additional Memory Alembic quest from Fynch in exchange for Qualichor every week. With that, players can get Refined Qualichor to open another chest.
What if the chests do not spawn?
Destiny 2 players have reported that the Miasma chests do not spawn, which means that they cannot obtain the Qualichor. The chest supposedly spawns inside the floor and is thus barely visible.
Players can try to pull the enemy away from its spawning spot to see if it helps. Alternatively, you can contact the game’s developer, Bungie, to repair the bug.
